Review your car’s condition for smooth sailing for every turn in the road.
If your car is looking a little lackluster from the winter months and the previous year, it’s time to give it some TLC. Working from the inside out, prepare your car for success for the upcoming year!
Luckily, we’ve compiled a checklist for quick tune up on your car:
- Check the brakes!
- Top up the fluids (oil, windscreen wiper, coolant)
- Examine the tires for wear and tear from the winter season
- Get an oil change (you may visit your local car garage for this)
- Check that all seatbelts are working and have no tears
- Clean the outside of your battery with baking soda, water, and a little elbow grease
- Wax and wash your car to protect the paint, color, and to look dazzling!
- Replace the air filter to eliminate the dirt particles
- Clean out the inside, removing all debris and leaves that have made their way inside
- Store your insurance policies in your glove box
- Restock your car emergency supply kit! This should include water, non-perishable food, blankets, jumper cables, a snow shovel (you never know!), a First Aid kit, flashlight and batteries, a hand-cranked radio, your roadside assistance number, your insurance policy number, and a book or two for while you wait for help!
