Minimizing Your Motorcycle Insurance Premiums

How To Save Money On Your Motorcycle Coverage

You love your motorcycle. It allows you to maneuver through traffic, park easily, and save at the gas pump. Unfortunately, you may be seeing the saving at the gas station turning around and pouring straight into your motorcycle insurance premiums. While you know you need to maintain this coverage, you probably feel a bit peeved each month when the bill comes. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to help you save!

  • Maintain a good driving record. This may seem like a no-duh suggestion, but many people do not capitalize on it. If you have been driving without a moving violation or an accident for a time, talk to your insurance agent. He or she may be able to help you drive down your premiums based on your driving history.
  • If you have been in an accident, or if you are under 25, consider taking a training course. Graduating from one of these courses can help negate the negative repercussions of being a high-risk driver, helping you save more money.
  • Ask your insurance agent how you can save. Membership in a motorcycle association can help you save, your age could earn you mature rider discounts, or writing all of your policies together can reduce your premiums.
  • Store your bike safely. Deciding to park your motorcycle in your garage rather than on the street each night will increase its safety, helping you keep more money in your pocket.

Uninsured Motorist Coverage 101

Understanding Where You Are Protected

It would be great if you did not need uninsured motorist coverage. That would mean that every driver on the road today is responsible enough to carry at least the state-mandated level of car insurance, protecting themselves and you out on the open road. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There are a shocking number of people driving around carrying no insurance at all.

To help you be best safeguarded, your insurance agency has developed a product that is designed to protect you against the possibility of being left without coverage if you get into an accident with an uninsured driver. This product is called uninsured motorist coverage that can be broken down in two ways.

This first, and most common, type of this protection is uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage. This will step in to cover your medical expenses, and those of your passengers, if you get into an accident with an at-fault driver whose insurance coverage is insufficient to cover those costs. This ensures that you will be able to get healthy again no matter what.

The second type of this protection is uninsured motorist property damage coverage. This will step in to repair your vehicle if it is damaged by another driver not carrying insurance coverage. That will ensure that you are not on the hook for body shop bills just because the at-fault driver was not carrying enough car insurance.

So you can best be protected against other drivers’ lack of responsibility, contact All Nevada Insurance. Our team is committed to helping you get the right car insurance policy to be fully protected no matter what—or who—lies on the road ahead. For all of your coverage needs in Las Vegas and all of Nevada, do not hesitate to get in touch with our expert team.

Optimizing Your Office Inventory

The Importance Of Listing Your Business Property

Suppose that a fire sweeps through your business. No, it is not an ideal scenario to consider, but preparing for the worst is the key to staying successful even in the face of disaster. If a fire burned down your building and destroyed all of your office equipment, you would be fine because your business insurance would kick in to protect you, right?

Correct. The issues arises, though, that you may not be able to think of every individual item that was destroyed in the fire. This could become problematic, as you have a definite amount of time in which you need to file your claim. If you think of that piece of expensive business equipment you rarely use but definitely need a month later, too bad.

How, then, do you ensure that your policy will offer protection for all of your business property? Fortunately, the answer is as simple as it is common sense- create an office inventory. List every item in your office—along with receipts, credit card statements, and appraisals showing its value—on your inventory. It may seem tedious at the time, but it will make filing a claim and getting the reimbursements your business needs to bounce back after a disaster a snap. Make sure you store your office inventory in multiple locations and/or digitally to protect it.

Should a disaster strike, your office inventory will do you no good unless you have the insurance coverage you need to kick in and replace every item on it. To get that high level of business insurance, paired with a high level of service, contact All Nevada Insurance. Our Las Vegas team is here to meet all of your Nevada commercial coverage needs. From guidance on creating your office inventory to support when it comes time to file your claim, call us today.

Prepping Your RV For The Season—And Road—Ahead

Is Your Recreational Vehicle Ready For The Summer?

You likely did not take your RV out on the road very often this winter, so it is important to do a little maintenance on it to restore it after months of sitting. Getting your RV ready for your summer adventures will not take too much of your time, but it will ensure that you do not hit any roadblocks as you head out. Here are a few ways you can prep your RV so it will be ready for the road ahead.

  • Perform A Basic Auto Inspection: Your RV is a vehicle, and consequently needs to be maintained in the same way. Check the brake pads, test that brake lights and turn signals are working properly, check your tire pressure and be sure that the tread depth is not too shallow.
  • Spring Clean: While your RV is a vehicle, it is also a living space. Consequently, you should give it the same attention you give your home when it comes to deep cleaning to shake off the dust of winter. Throw your cleaning supplies into a bucket and bring them out to your RV to get it sparkling for summer.
  • Refill Fluids: Drain out the antifreeze from the holding tank and turn off the water heater bypass. Then, according to the manufacturer’s directions, refill the water and propane tanks. While you fill, open the hot and cold water faucet leaks to let the air escape as the tanks fill. Check for leaks.

A crucial component of getting your RV ready for the season ahead is making sure it has the coverage it needs so your adventures will never become stressful. For that kind of protection, contact All Nevada Insurance. Located in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, we are here to help you get the RV insurance you need to protect your summer travels.

Before You Buy: Car Purchasing Tips

How To Protect Yourself And Your Future New Car

So many people show up at the car dealership saying “Oh, we are just looking today!” only to drive off the lot in their new ride an hour later. So you do not end up one of those people in an impulse purchase without the coverage you need to protect it, consider these car buying tips.

  • Do Your Homework: Certain makes and models of vehicles will not just cost less at the car dealership, they will cost less in maintenance over the years and to cover with auto insurance. Research the vehicles you are interested in to ensure you do not end up buying one infamous for breakdowns or accidents.
  • Make A Call: If you are adding a new vehicle to your family’s fleet, do not assume that you have thirty days to get the coverage you need. Your car will likely only be protected if you are trading in your previous vehicle for the new car. Either way, call your insurance agent in advance so you can be protected from the moment you drive off the lot.
  • Ask Questions: When you are at the dealership, ask plenty of questions about the safety features that your potential vehicle could come with. Then, give your agent a call and ask about them. While some safety features can help drive your premiums down because they safeguard your car, others are more costly to replace or complex to repair, making your potential vehicle more risky (i.e. more expensive) to insure.

Is your insurance agent coming alongside you during the car buying process so you can get the auto insurance you need to protect your new car? For great service and great coverage, contact All Nevada Insurance in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Do not leave your pricey purchase unprotected; call us today!

How To: Add Your Teen Driver

FAQs About Insuring Your New Driver

Your teen getting ready to reach their 16th birthday is simultaneously terrifying and exciting. On the one hand, you get to spend a lot less time behind the wheel as your family chauffeur once your teen becomes a licensed driver. On the other hand, you have to trust that your child is enough of an adult to man a vehicle. So you can have peace of mind while your teen is behind the wheel, it is important to add him or her to your auto insurance policy. Here are the answers to a few questions you may have when making that change to your policy.

  • When Should I Add My Teen? Generally, you do not need to add your teen driver to your policy until he or she becomes officially licensed. That means you can hold off on insuring him or her during the permit process. Call your insurance agent to double check, though, as you do not want to leave yourself unprotected.
  • How Much Will It Cost? Not surprisingly, your teen is a riskier driver than you are with your years of experience behind the wheel. Consequently, you can expect to see your premiums increase at least a little bit when you add your son or daughter to your policy.
  • How Can I Save? Fortunately, you can take steps to combat the rising cost. Put your teen in a car with a great safety rating, make sure you teen driver completes driver’s education, and encourage him or her to get the best grades possible. Scoring As and Bs will bring your premiums down.

When you are ready to add your teen driver, is it easy to get in touch with your insurance agent? For all of your auto insurance coverage needs, contact All Nevada Insurance in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. We are here to help you get the right policy so you can have the right level of protection for yourself and your teen driver.

The Perfect Lamb For Your Easter Brunch

The Right Recipe For This Weekend

What better way to celebrate Easter than gathering your community together for a brunch? To take your meal to the next level, it is important to have a recipe that will wow your friends and family. To help, here is an easy, five ingredient recipe for grilled lamb that will be as fun to eat as it is to make.

Chef’s Tip: Leave ample time for this recipe, as it requires four hours to marinate.

To make this Easter lamb, you will need:

  • A 4 or 5 pound boneless leg of lamb
  • ¼ cup of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of rosemary, minced
  • Salt and pepper

This recipe is a departure from the traditional method of butterflying the lamb on the bone and cooking it whole. Instead, cut along the muscle separations and pull the pieces apart with your fingers. This will ensure that the lamb cooks evenly. Also, cut away gristle and excess fat.

In a dish large enough to fit the lamb, stir together the olive oil, garlic, and rosemary. Add the lamb and coat it with the mixture. Leave it to marinate for four hours at room temperature, turning it occasionally.

Heat your grill. Leaving the garlic and rosemary on the lamb, season it with salt and pepper. Grill the lamb, turning regularly until your meat thermometer reads 125 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (medium rare) when inserted into each piece. Grilling time will vary by weight, but plan for a 1 ½ pound section to need about 20 minutes to reach medium rare.

Let the lamb rest on the carving board for 15 minutes before slicing thinly. Enjoy!

Happy Easter! While you are celebrating, do you have the protection you need? For all of your Nevada insurance needs, contact All Nevada Insurance.

Are You Aware? April Is Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Highlighting The Importance Of Alertness While On The Road

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. You should never, ever text behind the wheel, but if you usually pull out your phone after you pull on your seat belt, April is the perfect time to break the habit.

In Nevada, both using a handheld mobile device and texting while driving are illegal. These are steps in the right direction, but contrary to popular belief, using a headset to take your call while behind the wheel is not actually safer than using a handheld device. 30 studies show that because the call is still distracting, talking hands-free does not mean you are driving risk-free. Avoiding calls altogether is the best policy.

On average, when you look at your phone, whether to read a text or make a call, you take your eyes away from the road for five seconds. If you are driving at 55 mph that means that you cover the length of a football field while your eyes are averted. In other words, if something happens in the hundred+ yards in front of your vehicle you will not be able to respond. Put an end to distracted driving in your own life to keep yourself safe!

If you are tempted by your phone while behind the wheel, put it on silent and stow it in your glove box. Learn this habit now, and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Together, we can save thousands of lives this year.

Did you know that a record of safe driving can help bring your auto insurance premiums down? Putting away your phone while driving can put more money in your wallet. To work with a team of agents who will help you take advantage of every discount available to you, contact All Nevada Insurance in Las Vegas.
